1. Data Controller

Daar Market Intelligence ("Daar", "we") operates this platform. This policy complies with ADGM Data Protection Regulations 2021 and UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on Personal Data Protection.

2. Data We Collect

Account data: Name, email address, company name (optional), hashed password.

Usage data: Pages visited, features used, filters applied. No browsing data is shared with third parties.

AI Advisor conversations: Chat messages are stored to maintain conversation context within your session.

Saved projects: Project names, areas, property types, notes you enter in your cabinet.

3. How We Use Your Data

• Provide and improve our analytics services
• Authenticate your account and manage subscriptions
• Process AI Advisor queries (see Section 5 on cross-border transfers)
• Send service-related communications (account, billing)

We do NOT sell your personal data. We do NOT use your data for advertising.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Under ADGM DPR 2021: contractual necessity (providing the service you signed up for) and your explicit consent at registration.

5. Cross-Border Data Transfers

AI Advisor: When you use the AI Advisor, your chat messages are sent to Anthropic Inc. (San Francisco, USA) for processing by the Claude AI model. By using the AI Advisor, you consent to this cross-border transfer in accordance with ADGM DPR 2021 Article 30.

Infrastructure: Platform hosting may use international cloud providers (Vercel, Railway). Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.

6. Data Retention

• User accounts: Retained until you delete your account
• Saved projects: Retained with your account; deleted when account is deleted
• AI chat history: Retained for 12 months for service improvement, then automatically deleted
• Market data snapshots: Retained indefinitely (aggregated, not user-linked)
• Server logs (IP, timestamps): Retained for 90 days for security purposes

7. Your Rights (ADGM DPR 2021)

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
• Objection: Object to processing of your data

8. Data Security

Passwords are hashed using bcrypt (never stored in plain text). All connections use TLS/HTTPS encryption. JWT tokens expire after 72 hours. We conduct regular security reviews.

9. Cookies

We use localStorage (not cookies) to store your theme preference and authentication token. No third-party tracking cookies are used. No advertising trackers are present.

10. Third-Party Services

• Anthropic (AI Advisor): Processes chat messages — USA-based
• Vercel (Hosting): Serves frontend — global CDN
• Railway (Backend): Runs API and database

No data is shared with advertising networks, data brokers, or social media platforms.

11. Children

Daar is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. Changes are effective upon posting. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
